Series Description:
The family medicine series is protected educational time integrated into department meetings to serve as an accessible forum for the interprofessional team to learn from and with each other, share best practices, and stay abreast of emerging advances, the latest guidelines, and recommendations in primary care. Specialty speakers will focus on different topics every other month related to primacy care, often times utilizing case studies as an active learning strategy.

Series Learning Objectives:
1. Adopt new guidelines, scientific evidence, and best practice recommendations shared through these meetings.
2. Apply knowledge of new and emerging interventional strategies appropriate for primary care populations.
3. Acquire new information to identify implicit bias and better manage special patient populations, such as those with racial/ethnicity differences, gender differences, and substance abuse disorders.

In support of improving patient care, Sutter Health, is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
