Renata Way, Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Renata Way is a licensed clinical psychologist at Kaiser Permanente and the founder of
Way Psychological Services, which specializes in comprehensive psycho-diagnostics
assessment, therapy, and consultation. At Kaiser, Dr. Way serves as the ADHD team
lead, overseeing the clinic’s evaluations and autism screenings. Dr. Way also serves as
supervisor to pre-doctoral interns, postmaster’s fellows, and postdoctoral residents. In
addition, Dr. Way participates in Kaiser’s regional autism and ADHD consultation
groups. She also currently facilitates the region's only autism parent acceptance and
education class within Kaiser. Dr. Way is a strong advocate of neuro-affirming care,
which means dismantling ableist ideas about neurodiversity, encouraging identity-first
language, and celebrating brain differences. In her private practice, Dr. Way provides
therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She also spends much of her time
nurturing her passion for conducting psychological assessments. Dr. Way completed
her postdoctoral residency at WestCoast Children’s Clinic, where she trained in
Therapeutic Collaborative Assessments (TCA). She has experience providing trauma-
informed care to marginalized youths and their families. In her spare time, Dr. Way has
been finding ways to balance her many roles and interests by spending time with her
family and seeking out fantasy writers of color.
