Dr. Ronald Hsu obtained his Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California Davis Medical Center. He is the Medical Director at the Sutter Roseville Endoscopy Center, the Governor for Northern California of the American College of Gastroenterology, and a Clinical Professor at the University of California Davis School of Medicine. Dr. Hsu served as the Medical Director of Gastroenterology at Sutter Roseville Medical Center from 2012-2019 and Director of Endoscopy of the UC Davis GI Fellowship Training Program from 1994-2000. He has served on the CME committee at Sutter Roseville Medical Center since 2016. He has won numerous awards from ACG, ASGE, and Top Doctors. He is an honored fellow of eight international medical colleges and societies. He is the Principal Investigator for the NIH-AGA-funded FMT National Registry at the Sutter site and a Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation National Scientific Advisory Committee member.

Clinical Interest

Dr. Ronald Hsu is a Gastroenterologist and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopist. He specialized in Endoscopic Eradication Therapy for Barrett’s esophagus and Dysplasia, Radiofrequency Ablation, Endoscopic Mucosal Resection, Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography for pancreaticobiliary diseases, Fecal Microbiota Transplantation, Endoscopic Therapy for Gastrointestinal Cancers. His clinical interests include the management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Gut Microbiome in Health and Disease, Clostridiodes difficile Infections, Prevention of Colorectal Cancer, Management and Prevention of Esophageal Cancer, Barrett’s Esophagus, Pancreatobiilairy Disease.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Hsu’s research focuses on the gut microbiome in health and disease; the use of fecal microbiota transplantation in Clostridiodes Difficile Infection. He participates in clinical trials for multiple gastrointestinal disease including inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer prevention and other digestive diseases. He directs educational conferences and community outreach programs.
