Description: 

This ongoing, bi-weekly tumor board brings together a multidisciplinary team of specialists to collaboratively review and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with gastrointestinal cancers. Drawing on NCCN treatment guidelines and the latest advancements in diagnostics and precision medicine, participants evaluate each patient's unique biological profile and socioeconomic context to ensure informed, equitable care. Expert discussion spans therapeutic recommendations, emerging treatment strategies, and clinical trial options. Through consistent structured collaboration, this series supports clinicians in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care that reflects the evolving landscape of GI oncology.

Learning Objectives: 

After Attending This Activity Learners Should Be Able To:

1. Employ NCCN treatment guidelines to determine overall plan of care.

2. Formulate a treatment plan that considers a patient’s biological differences and socioeconomic impacts.

3. Use multidisciplinary input from expert discussions and therapeutic recommendations in the diagnosis and treatment of each individual patient.

4. Formulate patient-centered treatment plans that incorporate clinical trial options by identifying trial eligibility criteria, understanding referral pathways, and addressing patient-specific barriers to enrollment.
