- July, 2019, began a new position in the Neuroscience department with a primary focus on the memory clinic (2 days per week) completing psychosocial assessments and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team during committee meetings. Additional duties are to accompany the Neuropsychologist during feedback sessions and providing identified resources for patients and families. Responsibilities also include working with Parkinson’s, Epilepsy, MS, Autism spectrum disorder, and post spine surgery patients. Counseling support as well as community linkage to appropriate support groups or resources for higher level of placement options. Patient’s come from all over northern California for services and having awareness as the services available to them is expected.
- March, 2014, began a new position in the Transplant and Advanced Heart Therapy service department. Provide support services and psychosocial assessments for patients who are in consideration of LVAD transplantation or Heart Transplant candidates. My current area of focus is primarily services to Heart Failure patients and end of life issues, ACHD, and TAVR patients in the outpatient clinic setting. I have past experience organizing and facilitating a support group for LVAD as BTT and TXP patients on a monthly basis. Assist with completion of EDD, FMLA, IHSS, and other disability paperwork.
- Social Work Partnership Council member, past council member 2012-14, Co-chairman 2018-2019
- Field instructor for California State University, Sacramento to Social Work intern for the year ending 2018 and a second year ending 2019. Provide supervision, training and education to MSWII student. Work collaboratively with CSUS instructor throughout the year.
- Prior experience in NICU at Sutter Memorial Hospital from 8/2010-3/2014 provided supportive services and psychosocial assessments of parents of babies in the NICU.
