Course Description
The SRMC Continuing Professional Development Grand Rounds is an educational series designed to improve the broad practice of acute care medicine, including patient care, healthcare research, medical education, public health, and innovation. This series includes current evidence-based guidelines and recommendations on a wide array of topics intended to improve team performance and patient outcomes. Relevant cases studies or application to practice exercises are presented to promote active learning strategies in this interprofessional collaborative education event which is open to the entire interprofessional team including students and medical residents. The February 16th session will be on Hepatology and Liver Transplantation: Challenges and Controversies.

Learning Objectives
After attending this activity learners should be able to:
1. Adopt new guidelines or evidence-based practices shared through these Grand Rounds presentations.
2. Engage in self-assessment and reflection to apply new information on non-clinical factors that impact patient and family outcomes such as time management and habit formation, recognition of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), and the impact of implicit bias.
