Series Description: 

This Pediatrics Grand Rounds series provides an ongoing educational forum for pediatric healthcare professionals to review current evidence based guidelines, emerging research, and evolving standards of care across a broad range of pediatric conditions. Through expert‑led presentations and case-based discussions, the series addresses knowledge gaps related to recent advances in pediatric diagnostics, therapeutics, and care models. The program is designed to support consistent, informed clinical decision‑making and promote high‑quality, patient‑centered pediatric care for children and their families.

Session Learning Objectives: 

At the completion of this activity, learners will be able to:

-Recognize early warning signs and risk factors for eating disorders in adolescents presenting in pediatric settings 
-Apply diagnostic criteria to identify common eating disorders in adolescents, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge -Eating Disorder. 
-Identify clinical and laboratory indicators of malnutrition in adolescents with eating disorders. 
-Recognize medical complications of malnutrition, including cardiovascular, endocrine, gastrointestinal, and neurologic complications. 
-Implement an initial evaluation and management plan, including appropriate monitoring, nutritional rehabilitation, and referral to multidisciplinary care.
