Trauma M&M provides a structured forum for reviewing challenging diagnostic and treatment pathways in trauma care and identifying opportunities for improvement. Through case-based discussion and focused topic presentations, participants examine treatment and practice options relevant to complex clinical scenarios. The activity is designed to support continuous improvement in trauma and subspecialty practice, strengthen clinical decision-making, and enhance the quality and safety of patient care.

Learning Objectives: 

By the end of this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Analyze challenging diagnostic and treatment pathways encountered in trauma cases to identify factors that influence clinical outcomes.
  • Evaluate evidence-based treatment and practice options presented during case review to inform trauma care decision-making.
  • Apply lessons learned from morbidity and mortality review to improve trauma care processes and subspecialty collaboration in patient care.
