Series Description: 

Many clinicians are not aware of how behavior, communication, technique and documentation can support patient safety and reduce malpractice claims. The goal of this series is to educate healthcare providers on legal aspects of medical malpractice incidents, claims, and lawsuits so that they will modify their practice to reduce overall risk.

Target Audience: 

Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Physicians (MD or DO)

Physician Assistant (PA)

Learning Objectives: 

1. Discuss legal aspects of clinical practice by sharing legislative, judicial and case based data.

2. Identify risk in one's own practice that can impair the quality of care provided.

3. Utilize communication tools, resources, and protocols to reduce overall risk in the practice of medicine.

Accreditation
