Session Description: 

This activity is a journal club which is used to facilitate an evidence-based approach to problem solving, as a tool for informing guideline development and to enable an exchange of insights regarding clinical problems related to degenerative lumbar pathologies. In this session, the physician team will be reviewing and discussing Endoscopic Ultrasound-guided Transluminal Gallbladder Drainage in Patients With Acute Cholecystitis.

Physicians (MD or DO)

 

Learning Objectives- After Attending this Activity, Learners Should be Able to:

1.Sumamrize the role of therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound in management of cholecystitis. 

2. Discuss management of acute cholecystitis in non-surgical candidates.

3. Consider alternatives to PTC and cholecystectomy for cholecystitis.
