Description

Each session of this neurology oncology case conference reviews 4-5 challenging or unique cases, presented by the providers involved, with comprehensive details including relevant labs, diagnostic imaging, patient history, and other key factors. During a roundtable discussion, the team collaborates to determine the need for further diagnostic testing, establish the most likely diagnoses or differential diagnoses, and evaluate best practice management strategies for each case. Many cases also offer opportunities to explore emerging evidence in neurology oncology, including innovative treatments and approaches to complex neurological conditions. Additionally, the conference provides a platform for discussing cultural, ethnic, and age-related considerations that may influence patient care. This case-based approach fosters the development of clinical competence, enhances team performance in managing complex cases, and promotes culturally sensitive care free from implicit biases.
