Description

The Genito-Urinary / Oncology (GU-ONC) Conference is made up of a multi-disciplinary team, including nursing and physician staff. Cases, both prospective and retrospective, are reviewed as a group to offer input and recommendations on the plan of care for these patients. Topics specific to the care of patients with genitourinary cancers are presented to the group on an as-needed basis.

Learning Objectives: 

Upon completion of this series, learners should be able to:

1. Engage in interprofessional collaboration during review of difficult and unique patient cases in order gain consensus and achieve an informed decision on the ideal treatment plan for each patient.

2. Review evidence related to the social determinants of health and the impact of implicit biases in oncology care in order to support culturally appropriate carefree from differential outcomes related to unconscious biases.
