Series Description: 

This Pediatrics Grand Rounds series provides an ongoing educational forum for pediatric healthcare professionals to review current evidence based guidelines, emerging research, and evolving standards of care across a broad range of pediatric conditions. Through expert‑led presentations and case-based discussions, the series addresses knowledge gaps related to recent advances in pediatric diagnostics, therapeutics, and care models. The program is designed to support consistent, informed clinical decision‑making and promote high‑quality, patient‑centered pediatric care for children and their families.

Session Learning Objectives: 

At the completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
• Explain the updated definition and diagnostic criteria for Faltering Weight outlined in the clinical guideline. 
• Summarize the key action statements related to the evaluation, investigation, and management of children with faltering weight. 
• Differentiate between the guideline’s key action statements and good practice statements, and apply these recommendations to support evidence-based care. 
• Identify potential barriers to implementing guideline recommendations and develop strategies to address challenges in clinical practice. 
• Describe the rationale for replacing the term Failure to Thrive with Faltering Weight.
