Series Description:

Schwartz Rounds is a nationally recognized program run by hospital planning committees that engage in case discussions about the experience of providing care. These Grand Rounds offer a multidisciplinary forum for providing support to clinicians and staff in developing strategies to address challenging patient care situations. Schwartz Rounds also allows clinicians to come together and talk about emotional and social aspects of providing health care. The goals of this Schwartz Rounds series include: 1) Recognize and describe the impact of family and caregiving support on the patient experience; 2) Discuss how barriers to communication effect quality of care; 3) Demonstrate coping strategies for witnessing patient suffering.

Accreditation

Sutter Health designates this LIVE activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™  for physicians,1.0 continuing professional development contact hours for nurses, 1.0 knowledge-based contact hours for pharmacists, and 1.0 approved continuing education hours for social workers.
