Description:
This lecture will provide the knowledge clinicians require to choose the correct medication for MOUD initiation depending on the patient clinical scenario. In addition to providing knowledge and tips for initiating buprenorphine in the fentanyl era, providers will receive training on the initiation of methadone in the hospital for patients who prefer it as a form of MOUD while admitted. Practical strategies for successful implementation and connection to outpatient MOUD treatment will be shared.

- Discover adjunctive medications and opioid agonists to support patients undergoing microdose buprenorphine induction.
