At the completion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Identify high-risk markers for limb salvage failure. 
  • Discuss multidisciplinary coordination for successful limb salvage. 
  • Discover wound center care advantages. 
  • Consider advanced surgical techniques. 
  • Utilize vascular assessment (physical exam findings, ABI/TBI) to triage wounds for vascular referral 
  • Elicit the role of wound care classification tools (ie WIfI) in determining urgency of imaging/intervention 
  • Recite multidisciplinary roles in optimizing care delivery and outcomes no matter the etiology of wound
