Dr. J. Bianca Roberts is a graduate of UCSF School of Medicine, PRIME-US (Program in Medical Education-Urban Underserved). This University of California initiative provides health equity-based training to medical students who are committed to minimizing health disparities in the patients they serve.  After medical school, she completed residency at the Sutter Family Medicine Residency Program in 2013, where she also served as the Chief Resident of the Sacramento Track. Dr. Roberts is a practicing Family physician and currently serves as the President of Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society (SSVMS) and Health Equity Committee Chair.   The goals of the SSVMS Health Equity Committee include providing health equity CME, partnering with community organizations in community education, amplifying CMA/AMA equity efforts, and serving as a voice for marginalized communities in California.
