Clinical Nurse Educator | Vascular Access Specialist | Critical Care Nurse
With over seven years of nursing experience, Angela is a dedicated and accomplished registered nurse specializing in critical care and vascular access. She currently serves as a Clinical Nurse Educator at Sutter Health University, where she facilitates the Nurse Residency Program and the Critical Care Transitions in Practice Program—supporting the professional development of new and transitioning nurses within the organization.
Her clinical background includes three years of hands-on experience as a Medical/Surgical nurse, two years in the Intensive Care Unit and four years as a Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) PICC nurse. Angela has demonstrated expertise in advanced vascular access techniques and has led initiatives to improve patient outcomes and nursing competencies in this area. Notably, she spearheaded an ultrasound-guided peripheral IV education program to enhance clinical proficiency across care teams.
In addition to her clinical and educational roles, Angela is an active contributor to community and organizational projects. She has volunteered at the Hypertension Awareness Fair and played a key role in Sutter Health’s Vascular Access Education Day. As a Safe Patient Handling Superuser, she promotes best practices in patient mobility and safety within her units.
Driven by a passion for clinical excellence and lifelong learning, Angela continues to empower nurses through mentorship, evidence-based practice, and advocacy for high-quality patient care.
