Description:
This presentation will review current best practices and evidence-based strategies for understanding and managing agitation, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic strategies and considerations for special populations (older adults, children, pregnancy, etc.) and different settings.

2. Identify 2 strategies for reducing clinician bias in the assessment of agitation.
3. Understand 3 critical factors to consider when choosing an appropriate pharmacologic agent to manage agitation.
