Lizz Vilardo-Morgan, MD MBA
PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
Lizz is currently Chief Medical Officer Strategic and Philanthropic Initiates for Sutter Health. Prior to this role she was Chief Executive Officer and President of Sutter Bay Medical Foundation (SBMF).
SBMF serves over 1.5 million patients, has three aligned medical groups with over 3000 providers, $4Billion in revenue, with locations from San Francisco to Watsonville, including locations in the East Bay. Lizz was born in Southern California and she relocated to the bay area after being stationed at Letterman Army Medical Center for nurses training. After military service, she completed her undergraduate training in Biology at Sonoma State University. Lizz received her Doctor of Medicine at UCSF in 1985 and completed residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA in 1988. She returned to the bay area to work at the then Sunnyvale Medical Clinic. She has been a practicing Physician and Physician leader for over 30 years. She served in leadership positions at El Camino Hospital and with the medical group, including chairing the Board of Directors for 7 years. During that time, she received her MBA from Pepperdine University. In addition, she has served on many nonprofit-boards including the Board of Directors of Sutter Health from 2003-2012. She has been recognized for her community service by Pepperdine University, YMCA Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Business Times.
She is married to William (Bill) Morgan and has two daughters, Mari and Jennie Morgan. She is involved in charities that serve women and children including serving on the Board of Directors YMCA Silicon Valley and Leadership Circle Wanda. When she is not working, she enjoys pickleball, snow skiing, riding her bicycle, knitting, and traveling.
