0812_PAMF_GR: Cardiovascular and HTN Risk Reduction_Live
Description:
This session will provide clinicians with practical, evidence-based strategies for diagnosing and managing resistant hypertension, as well as optimizing lipid therapy—including approaches for patients with statin intolerance. Participants will explore the latest guidelines and emerging interventions to improve cardiovascular outcomes. The session will also address the impact of social determinants of health and implicit bias on risk assessment and treatment adherence. Attendees will leave equipped with actionable insights to enhance patient care and reduce disparities in cardiovascular disease management. This is the last session of the 3-part series to address underperformance in blood pressure monitoring and support broader quality improvement efforts at PAMF to empower care teams with the tools and knowledge needed to close performance gaps, reduce cardiovascular risk, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

- Identify evidence-based strategies for diagnosing and managing resistant hypertension, including appropriate pharmacologic sequencing and emerging interventions.
- Apply guideline-directed therapy for lipid management, including approaches to statin intolerance and use of non-statin lipid-lowering agents.
- Recognize the influence of social determinants of health and implicit bias on cardiovascular risk assessment, hypertension control, and lipid therapy adherence.
