Hi my name is Dorothe J Humann Zacharias I am a Certified Nurse Midwife 

    I currently work for Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation for the past 7 years in San Francisco, California   I have been a Certified Nurse Midwife for 11 years. and a registered nurse for 41 years

I started my career path as registered Nurse in 1984 working in neuro/ surgical floor. I later moved to Montana where I started working in the childbirth role as labor and delivery Nurse for 30 years. during this time, I taught childbirth education and became a lactation consultant 

    I always wanted to be a midwife and so i started my education journey in 2009 and achieved my BSN . I then enrolled in Frontier School of Nursing in 2011 and achieved my master's degree in nursing and certification in Midwifery care in 2014. 

    My career started with working at a birth center in Anchorage Alaska this gave me great insight into natural childbirth and the strength women endorse. I then enhanced my career by working as a contractor for Joint base Elmendorf/ Richardson Airforce base in Alaska, I later held a position with a private practice before joining Sutter Pacific Meical Group 

I care for women through all stages of their childbearing and through menopause. I currently working in the ambulatory setting and inpatient at California Pacific Medical Center 

I have been teaching group prenatal care over the past 2 years this also to referred to as " Centering" . I find this group setting allows women to form friendships and grow support needed during this stressful time in their lives It also allows continuity of care 

My goal is to care for women through their childbirth years and support them with their needs. Help them achieve the birth experience they desire.  I find great joy helping women and thier partners achieve their goals   I focus on holistic midwifery care treat the family as whole.
