Anna Sadovnikova, MD, PhD, IBCLC, MPH, MA

Dr. Sadovnikova is a physician-scientist, Director of Research Education and Adjunct Professor of Breastfeeding Medicine at the University of Rochester. Her research interests include low milk supply, minimally-invasive diagnostics for nipple disease, and comparative nipple evolution and embryology. She completed her MD/PhD training at UC Davis in mammary gland biology, where she studied hormonal regulation of milk production. Previously, Dr. Sadovnikova founded LiquidGoldConcept, developing lactation simulators and curricula distributed in 30+ countries. Her MPH/MA work at the University of Michigan was in human donor breast milk donation. Dr. Sadovnikova completed her undergraduate education at UC Berkeley in comparative literature and molecular and cell biology. Anna is "Mama" to two kiddos, whom she breastfed for 3 years each.
