Chantel Johnson is the Vice President of Ambulatory Operations for Greater Silicon Valley at Sutter Health, where she oversees all service line operations. She joined Sutter 12 years ago.  Chantel has served in several leadership positions within the organization as she gained larger responsibilities.  Chantel holds her RN degree and PhD in nursing from the University of Washington. Experienced in both ambulatory and acute care, Chantel led neonatal intensive care units in the Seattle area prior to joining Sutter.

Chantel is also committed to service her community and profession. Chantel is on the leadership team of the Sutter Women’s Inclusion Resource Group. Chantel served on the board of directors for the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL) and has chaired multiple state committees. She mentors leaders through within Sutter and ACNL. Chantel volunteers with the YWCA of Silicon Valley.

Outside of work, Chantel enjoys time with her family. She is most proud of her two daughters, who have grown to be strong, confident young women.  Her dogs, George and Pawl can be seen from time to time on Zoom calls.
