Louise Glaser, MD joined Sutter Medical Group at SMCS as a Palliative Medicine Physician five and half years ago, and provides care for both children and adults, and their families.

Prior to joining Sutter Medical Group Dr. Glaser was a primary care pediatrician for 20+ years, has held multiple leadership roles in her previous healthcare organization and served as Associate Professor at California Northstate University for several years prior to engaging in a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship at UC Davis.

She is board certified in both Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Pediatrics.

In addition to direct patient care, Dr Glaser serves as Medical Director of Pediatric Palliative Care and Complex Care with a vision for expanding access to palliative care support for babies, children and their families in the Sacramento Valley and California.  She has recently also served as interim medical director for CranioFacial Clinic.

She is Chair of Palliative Medicine for Sacramento and Roseville, both inpatient and outpatient.  She is also a member of the Patient Experience and Clinician Communication Coach team at SMCS.

In other arenas, she has two daughters, one working as a Public Health Planner in a county health department in New Jersey and the other in the midst of a Pediatric Intensive Care fellowship in Philadelphia.  She stays active and loves to cook, especially desserts, and loves to hike, especially on and around big mountains.
