Laleia Milan-Killian, RN, CWCN

I grew up in Northern California, in Humboldt County. In high school I became interested in health care as I volunteered for Planned Parenthood. Here, I participated in a peer outreach program that focused on sexual education. I also volunteered for the local clinic in Arcata and at the Mad River Hospital. In 2008, I graduated from San Jose State with a bachelor's degree in health science. I continued on to obtain my RN at Cabrillo College and then some years later became Wound certified through WOCN program at San Jose State. For a brief period, I worked in Monterey at nursing home then at CHOMP, before starting my career at Sutter Care at Home in Santa Cruz. I have been working here for 10 years and love it.
