Nariman Piri, PharmD, BCPP
Nariman Piri, PharmD, BCPP, is an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist specializing in psychiatric pharmacy at Sutter Health Alta Bates Summit Medical Center – Herrick Campus. In his role as clinical psychiatric pharmacist, he oversees key pharmacy operations functions while providing comprehensive psychopharmacologic care with a focus on medication reconciliation and reducing readmission rates.
Nariman received his PharmD from the University of California, San Francisco in 2023. He then completed his PGY‑1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY‑2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Residency at the New Mexico VA Health Care System, where he also earned a teaching certificate and served as a national presenter on topics including pharmacogenomics, harm reduction, and evidence‑based psychiatric pharmacotherapy. He is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist (BCPP), with a growing record of publications, case reports, and quality improvement work in psychopharmacology, substance use disorders, and clinical guideline implementation.
In addition to his clinical and operational responsibilities, Nariman serves as a system‑wide psychopharmacology resource, primary/secondary preceptor for students and residents, and a regular patient educator for chemical dependence recovery programs. He is passionate about advancing safe, compassionate, and evidence‑based psychiatric medication practices and supporting learners and colleagues through mentorship and education.
