Douglas White, MD

Dr. Douglas White is an emergency medicine physician at Wilma Chan Highland Hospital in Oakland, California, where he directs the Emergency Department HIV, hepatitis C, and syphilis screening, linkage, and rapid treatment program. Since 2004, he has advanced routine HIV screening in U.S. emergency departments through implementation science research, program development, and advocacy.
