Anthony Sillemon, PsyD
Dr. Tony Sillemon is the Director of Community Health for Sutter Bay Hospital and East Bay Advanced Care (EBAC), at the Sutter Health Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Oakland, California. During his 20-year tenure directing clinic activities, EBAC has provided HIV/AIDS/STI treatment and prevention services to 2,000+ individuals annually with or at high risk for HIV/AIDS/STIs in Alameda County—a region with the 17th largest number of cumulative AIDS cases in the U.S. EBAC primarily serves individuals from underrepresented populations, to help address healthcare disparities and inequalities in our region.
Dr. Silleman also plays a central role in the EHE initiative. He leads a region wide community coalition, East Bay Getting to Zero, in response to the national initiative, and sits on the California Planning Group, the statewide HIV planning body that enables stakeholders to dialogue with the Office of AIDS and achieve national and state goals.
He holds a doctorate in Psychology, an MBA and MSW, and received the Dr. Robert C. Scott Achievement Award for excellence in HIV/AIDS services to the African American community, the Alameda County World AIDS Day Treatment and Care Award, and the NAESM Achievement Award for his contribution to the BMSM community.
