Damon has been actively serving the Positive population since 2005. His entry into the community began as an overnight shelter monitor for positive youth. Damon quickly immersed himself in the community and has served in a variety of roles over the past 21 years. Damon has spent time working in all three Bay Area counties (Alameda, San Francisco, and Contra Costa) and even played a civic role supporting the “Get Screened Oakland” campaign under the leadership of former Mayor Ron Dellums.

At present Damon serves as the Project Director for Primary Care At Home, Incorporated, and as a Co- Chair for the Oakland Transitional Grant Area Planning Council.
