June 11, 2026 to June 12, 2026

Description:

The Leadership Academy is a 10-month, cohort-based program designed to accelerate the growth of senior directors and vice presidents across Sutter Health. This immersive experience equips leaders with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to tackle the most complex organizational, operational, and clinical challenges across our system. The program aligns leadership development with Sutter’s long-term vision, including Destination 2030, ensuring our leaders are equipped with the critical skills prepared to optimize performance, champion innovation, and foster a culture of collaboration and engagement. Through a multi-modal approach to learning by a multitude of internal and external speakers with dynamic, system-level voices, this series combines interactive learning, Sutter Health-specific case studies, executive coaching, peer collaboration, and applied projects. Participants strengthen their ability to think system-wide, lead with agility, and drive meaningful, measurable results. Leadership Academy not only advances organizational excellence but also enhances the growth, resilience, and impact of every participant.

Learning Objectives

After completing this learning activity, participants will be able to:
•Apply strategic frameworks to healthcare leadership by analyzing how organizations like Oberoi Hotels and Sutter Health build cultures of service excellence, and examine how enterprise and service-line strategies cascade from the system level to divisional execution through governance, philanthropy, and integrated planning.
•Strengthen leadership voice and mission alignment by using storytelling to frame purpose and reinforce values, and by understanding how philanthropy fuels Sutter Health’s not-for-profit mission through community programs, donor engagement, and Board of Trustees involvement.
•Advance capstone problem-solving with strategic rigor by clearly defining the problem, mapping evidence-based solutions, and planning deliverables—while reflecting on key takeaways and establishing success partnerships that sustain accountability and growth beyond the program.
