Holly Goetz, LCSW is a Clinical Social Work Educator at Sutter Health with 16 years of social work experience across acute care, behavioral health integration, and public sector systems. She is a member of the system ACM Educator Team, which leads the design and delivery of enterprise-wide education strategies that strengthen care management practice, advance workforce capability, and support high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.

Holly brings deep clinical and operational expertise from her tenure in acute care, where she served as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker III, leading complex care interventions, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient and family engagement initiatives. She has demonstrated a strong track record in program development and execution, including co-leading a Behavioral Health Integration grant initiative that secured $418,000 in funding and overseeing compliance, reporting, and program sustainability.

She has also driven innovation in substance use care as co-creator and program manager of a hospital-based Naloxone Distribution Program, and through her dual role as a Substance Use Navigator (SUN) and sole hospital Social Worker, she supported the development of community partnerships and the management of more than $290,000 in grant-funded services.

Earlier in her career, Holly held leadership roles in Child Welfare Services, including Social Worker Supervisor II, where she led staff, managed specialized programs, and partnered with multidisciplinary and legal systems to support vulnerable populations and ensure coordinated, accountable care delivery. 

In her current role, Holly operates at the system level to advance standardization, education infrastructure, and clinical excellence across social work and care management disciplines. She leads initiatives focused on onboarding, competency development, consult triage, and documentation practices that align frontline workflows with regulatory, operational, and quality expectations. She is particularly committed to strengthening the social work workforce through structured education models and clinical supervision support.

Holly holds a Master of Social Work from California State University, Sacramento and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Chico. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California and a former board member of the American Case Management Association, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional leadership and advancement.
