As a Clinical Nurse Educator at Sutter Health, Vilma Aguilar Pifer is accountable for advancing systemwide education and onboarding within Acute Care Management, supporting RN Case Managers and Social Workers across the care continuum. In the role of System Care Management Educator, she leads initiatives that strengthen clinical practice, enhance care coordination, and support regulatory readiness.

Vilma co-developed ACM Fundamentals, a standardized onboarding curriculum designed for both new and experienced care management professionals, and partners with fellow ACM educators to deliver the program across the system. She collaborates closely with operational leaders to align expectations and promote consistency in practice.

She also contributes to shared initiatives in preceptor development and clinical supervision. Vilma earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University and has over 10 years of case management experience at Sutter Health.
