I am a licensed California attorney and devoted my career to healthcare and the defense of physicians.  I graduated with a BSN from San Jose State and spent my early years as an emergency department RN in Santa Cruz.  I became very interested in combining my medical knowledge with a law degree.  After graduating from Santa Clara law school, I took a job as an Associate Attorney with Hinshaw, Marsh, Still and Hinshaw, a local medical malpractice defense firm.  I focused my practice on defending physicians in professional negligence litigation and medical board disciplinary actions.  In 2016, I came in house to Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group as a Risk attorney and have worked directly with physicians by representing them in third party depositions, medical board complaints and small claims actions along with providing advice for clinical risk management.
