Dr. Shagun Bindlish, MD, FACP, FOMA, is an internationally recognized physician leader, diabetologist, obesity medicine specialist, and global health advocate dedicated to advancing cardiometabolic health through education, innovation, and advocacy. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and holds advanced expertise in diabetes, obesity, lifestyle medicine, and metabolic disorders.
Dr. Bindlish serves as Scientific & Medical President for the American Diabetes Association (California) and is the Founder and President of the Golden State Obesity Society, where she leads multidisciplinary initiatives focused on obesity, diabetes, metabolic health, and reducing weight stigma. Her work has been recognized nationally through honors including the American Diabetes Association Advocate of the Year Award and the California Medical Association Compassionate Physician Award.
