Roberta Stewart, RN, BSN, CCRN

Roberta Stewart is a highly experienced cardiovascular nursing professional with a career spanning over four decades at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, California. Since 1993, she has served as a CV Nurse Educator, providing clinical support, designing educational programs, and facilitating specialized programs such as CRRT, IABP, PVAD, and ECMO. Her work includes collaborating with staff and physicians on policy development, patient safety initiatives, and providing complex patient nursing resources and education.
Throughout her tenure, Roberta has held various leadership roles, including Clinical Associate in the Cardiovascular and Operative Division, Nursing Unit Manager for the Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU), and Nursing Unit Supervisor. In these capacities, she has overseen unit budgets, managed staffing, and led the expansion of critical care facilities. Her clinical background includes extensive experience in cardiovascular intensive care, as well as participation in significant clinical research studies.
She is a dedicated educator, having served as a lecturer for the Community Critical Care Course and an invited guest lecturer for AACN and regional hospitals. She has facilitated the training programs for 2 new cardiac surgery programs.
