Jodi Bobbitt, RN
Cancer Service Line High-Risk and Early Detection Program RN Supervisor
Jodi Bobbitt is a registered nurse with more than 15 years of healthcare experience and a longstanding passion for cancer prevention, screening, and early detection. She joined Sutter Gould Medical Foundation in 2011, beginning her career in Diagnostic Imaging before gaining additional clinical experience in Emergency Services and Obstetrics/Gynecology.
Driven by a deep commitment to improving patient outcomes through early detection, Jodi has been actively involved in cancer awareness and screening initiatives since 2010, when she led fundraising efforts to expand access to mammograms and other critical diagnostic services within the community through 2021.
In 2020, Jodi transitioned into oncology, where she found her professional calling in cancer prevention and navigation. In 2021, she became a Lung Nodule Board Nurse Navigator and played a key leadership role in developing the Lung Nodule and Cancer Screening Program in Greater Sacramento. Under her leadership and in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, the program experienced significant growth and was successfully expanded across the Sutter Health system.
Building on that success, Jodi partnered with her Cancer Service Line leadership in 2025 to develop Sutter's High-Risk Breast Cancer Screening Program. Launched in Greater San Francisco in early 2026, the program focuses on identifying individuals at elevated risk for breast cancer and connecting them with education, risk-reduction strategies, enhanced screening, and enhanced imaging services. This program will be offered in Greater East Bay October 2026 and other divisions to follow.
Today, as the Cancer Service Line High-Risk and Early Detection Program RN Supervisor, Jodi leads initiatives focused on expanding access to evidence-based screening programs, improving care coordination, and advancing cancer prevention efforts. Her work is centered on a powerful mission: ensuring patients have the opportunity to detect cancer earlier, when treatment is most effective and outcomes can be improved.
