Kristi Seargeant is Deputy General Counsel for Sutter Health, where she provides strategic legal counsel on a broad range of healthcare, employment, physician, graduate medical education, medical staff, and governance matters. She partners with executive leadership, physician leaders, human resources, medical staff offices, compliance, and operational teams across the integrated health system to address complex regulatory, workforce, and organizational challenges. She supports a wide array of internal clients including medical staffs, GME programs, employee safety, and labor and employment in the central valley. 

Ms. Seargeant has extensive experience advising hospitals, medical foundations, and medical staffs on medical staff governance, peer review, credentialing and privileging, physician employment, and labor and employment issues. She regularly works with physician and administrative leaders to develop practical solutions that support high-quality patient care, organizational effectiveness, and compliance with evolving legal requirements.

Before joining Sutter Health, Ms. Seargeant practiced labor and employment law, representing public agencies and healthcare organizations in workforce matters.
