Krista Lopes is Vice President of Quality, Safety, and Patient Experience at Sutter Health, bringing more than 30 years of healthcare experience and 25 years of leadership within Sutter. Her career spans acute and ambulatory quality, patient safety and high reliability, performance improvement, accreditation and regulatory compliance, clinical documentation, and patient and family engagement.

Throughout her career, Krista has led large-scale, system-wide initiatives focused on improving clinical outcomes, reducing mortality and serious safety events, strengthening high reliability, and advancing performance across the continuum of care. She is passionate about building strong partnerships with physicians and operational leaders and creating sustainable systems that deliver exceptional quality, safety, and experiences for patients and families. Krista holds an MBA with a specialization in Health Care Administration and is a graduate of the Sutter Health Leadership Academy and the AHA/National Patient Safety Foundation Leadership Fellowship.
