Dr. Shilpa Jain graduated from Brown University with a bachelor of science degree in Neuroscience. She then completed medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, internal medicine residency at University of Pennsylvania, and endocrinology fellowship at Harvard University's Brigham and Women's Hospital. During her fellowship, she conducted research in obesity at Framingham Heart Study with a specific focus on ectopic fat depots. After fellowship, she worked as a clinician educator in the Endocrinology Division at Stanford University School of Medicine. Then, in 2015, she joined the Endocrinology Division at Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG). Dr. Jain is the Medical Director of the Sutter Weight Management & Metabolic Center in San Francisco and the Chief of Endocrinology at SWBMG. Her medical practice includes all aspects of endocrinology with an emphasis on obesity management and prevention of metabolic complications. Outside of work, Dr. Jain enjoys playing USTA tennis and traveling with her family and friends.
