Target Audience
The target audience of this program is: Assistant managers, supervisors, managers, and others in formal leadership roles in all Sutter Health professions (clinical and non‐clinical). Participants must have responsibility for leading their units, departments, and or care center/medical offices, managing their cost center budgets that have been in role at least 6 months.
Learning Objectives
1. Recognize current strengths and opportunities in the area of Emotional Intelligence through an online assessment and create a actionable plan using the Emotional Intelligence strategies reviewed in the course.
2. Apply trust building skills and review techniques to provide coaching to employees to help increase engagement, motivation, and effectiveness, measured by EOW and mini check in surveys.
3. Demonstrate foundational change leadership skills to lead and support change efforts within our organization. Participants will apply the learning to their SCL2 project through change surveys and implementing change methodology from the PROSCI research.
4. Demonstrate thinking and innovation strategies to their SCL2 project and explore how these techniques and activities can be implemented in daily leadership practices.
5. Apply a foundational understanding of how habits work, how to create meaningful leadership habits, and create systems to sustain successful leadership practices that are tracked through self reflection and accountability partners.
6. Summarize various approaches to leadership styles and practice the skill application through role play and coaching demonstrations.
7. Assess current strengths through the Strengths Finders assessment and create an action plan.
