Neeti Parikh, MD
Dr. Neeti B. Parikh is an ophthalmologist who cares for patients with conditions such as cataracts and dry eyes, and screens patients for eye conditions related to diabetes. She also performs eye surgeries, specializing in refractive cataract surgery (combining vision correction with cataract removal).
Neeti earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College. She completed an ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital, followed by a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai.
Neeti is a clinician-educator in the Department of Ophthalmology at UCSF. She sees patients and teaches residents both in the clinic and operating room at UCSF and at ZSFGH. She is also a member of the Clinical Competency Committee.
Neeti has been Vice Chair of medical education in the department of ophthalmology since 2018. She directs the sub-internship and clinical electives in Ophthalmology. She is also the course director for the ophthalmology clinical skills workshop during the clinical microsystems clerkship for first year medical students, and also course director for the visual systems small group session for Brain, Movement and Behavior, during the second year medical student curriculum. She is also a career advisor to students looking to apply to ophthalmology residency.
