I have been a gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist at CPMC since I finished fellowship training here in 2013.  Prior to that I attended medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, and completed internal medicine internship and residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.  I have been the director of the Fatty Liver Clinic at CPMC since 2013, and my clinical focus, research focus and passion is the care of patients with Metabolic dysfunction Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD).  I also play an active role in medical education at CPMC, serving as director of the Martin Brotman GI Fellowship Program at CPMC.
