Frances Patmon, PhD, FNP-C
Dr. Frances Patmon first joined Sutter Health in 2007 as a nurse in the Emergency Department at Sutter Roseville Medical Center. In 2014, she left Sutter Roseville Medical Center to join Dignity Health, where she served in multiple leadership roles. Most notably, she was instrumental in the development and implementation of a system-wide Nursing Research Department and the creation of a Nurse Fellowship in Research program.
Dr. Patmon returned to Sutter Roseville Medical Center in December 2021. She is the current Area Director for Sacramento and Roseville and also serves as a Nurse Practitioner for the Internal Medicine Continuity Clinic.
Dr. Patmon earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Master of Science in Nursing from California State University, Sacramento. She received her PhD in Nursing Science and Healthcare Leadership from the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis in 2014. In 2017, she completed her Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner certification at Western University of Health Sciences.
She has extensive healthcare research experience and has collaborated with agencies including Sacramento County and the San Juan Unified School District. Dr. Patmon remains deeply committed to advancing nursing research, graduate medical education, and improving healthcare outcomes across the communities she serves.
