My name is Dr. Sapna Purawat, and I am a board-certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience in community practice. I have had the privilege of serving adults, adolescents, and children, providing comprehensive psychiatric care across the lifespan. Additionally, I have specialized training in forensic psychiatry, enhancing my ability to address complex mental health needs within the community.

I trained at Tulane University in New Orleans, where I was chosen as chief resident among 16 other residents. I completed my fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at LSU. My professional journey includes six years of practice in Nebraska and five years in Stockton.
My practice includes diagnostic assessments, medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention. I am committed to providing personalized care tailored to the unique needs of each individual I serve.
In my clinic, we offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), an advanced treatment for patients with depression and other mental health conditions who have not responded to traditional therapies. We also provide neuropsychological testing for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), aiding in accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment planning. Additionally, I conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations for bariatric surgery and spinal cord stimulator clearances.  I am proud to accept all insurances at my clinic, ensuring that individuals from diverse backgrounds have access to high-quality mental health care.
