Carole Bennett, Ph.D.

As the Sutter Health Vice President of Talent Management and Development at Sutter Health, Carole leads a team of leaders and professionals focused on serving the talent development needs of the organization. While at Sutter Health, Carole has led multiple teams and programs, including executive development, leadership development, physician leader development and clinical pipeline development. Carole also was the program manager for clinical leadership development for the Moore Grant Nurse Leadership, the Nurse Leadership Transformation blue ribbon committee and developed the Inter-professional Team program for clinical change, called ICU Liberation. Prior to Sutter Health, Carole was an adjunct faculty at California State University, Sacramento in the business school. She worked as an executive in financial services and as a corporate project manager for a large utility company. Currently, she is the creator, director and faculty for the University of California, Davis Professional Coaching for Life and Work Program. Carole completed a Ph.D. in Global Leadership and Change at Pepperdine University where her research agenda was focused on self-awareness in healthcare leaders. She holds a M.B.A. from the W.P Carey School of Business and a Master Certified Coach designation from the International Coaching Federation. Carole is a certified Mindfulness Meditation teacher and enjoy teaching leaders how to apply mindfulness to the conscious practice of leadership. She lives in Sacramento with her husband and is the mom of two wise, hilarious, and active teenagers.
