The gut microbiome, a complex community of microbes in the gut, profoundly impacts brain function through the gut-brain axis, influencing mood, cognition, and other neurological disorders, including epilepsy. These grand rounds lecture will investigate the scientific relationship between gut microbiota and neurological function with some emphasis on epilepsy.
