Christopher Woods, MD PhD

Dr. Chris Woods is a graduate of the NIH Medical Scientist Training Program at the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA, where he earned both his M.D. and Ph.D. His doctoral research focused on the electrophysiology of muscle disease. He completed his postdoctoral training with an internship and residency in Internal Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Cardiology at Stanford University, where he also served as Chief Fellow. During this time, he was an NIH-sponsored research fellow investigating post-cardiac arrest syndrome. Dr. Woods went on to complete a fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at UCSF.
Board-certified in both Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology, Dr. Woods is a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS) and an active professional member of the society. He has made significant contributions to the field of cardiovascular research, including several seminal works in cardiac mapping. He currently services as Chief of EP for Sutter Health, and Chair of the CV service line for Sutter West Bay Medical Group, and practices EP at CPMC
