Description:
Designed and facilitated by doctorate prepared faculty from Samuel Merritt University College of Nursing, this workshop will educate nurses on utilization of creative arts to mitigate caregiver burnout, reduce stress, enhance communication, and improve wellness all of which are associated with improved performance and patient safety. Participants will learn evidence-based techniques to promote self-care and resilience and create movement and art related to personal healing processes.

Learning Objectives
After Attending this Activity, Learners Should be Able to:
1. Appraise the utilization of creative arts to mitigate caregiver burnout, reduce stress, enhance communication, and improve wellness as well as performance of the healthcare team.
2. Assess personal implicit bias related to self-care practices.
3. Practice Heart Math™ techniques to promote self-care and resilience.
4. Create movement and art related to personal healing processes.
