This lunch and learn topic will be on how to advance health equity through skin tone. Some of the topics covered include: how doctors are trained with only whites illustrated, how different skin conditions present on different skin tones (e.g., psoriasis plaques, bed sores), about the importance of accurate skin care assessments and treatment plans for all patient groups, the Monk Scale, and the racism of the pulse oximeter.
